Nianzeng Xing

Professor & Chairman of the Department of Urology, National Cancer Center/Cancer Hospital of Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences.
Professor, Xing graduated from Beijing Medical University (Currently Peking University) and got Medical Doctor Degree in 1997. He went to study at Mayo Clinic in 1998 where he worked as a postdoctoral research fellow and as an Assistant Professor(since 2002). He joined the Beijing Chaoyang Hospital affiliated to Capital Medical University when he came back to China and worked there for 16 years. He then moved the National Cancer Center in 2018.
Professor Xing specializes in the field of Urological Oncology and minimally invasive surgery. He pioneers radical cystectomy and orthotopic neobladder construction in China with largest volume of laparoscopic intracorporeally urinary diversion in China. He reported for the first time in China laparoscopic radical nephrectomy for renal cell carcinoma with renal vein thrombus and vena caval thrombus. He has authored over 280 peer-reviewed publications. Over the years, he received many awards such as National Candidates for "Tens of Millions of Talent Projects", 2017, National Award for Young and Middle-aged Experts with Outstanding Contributions, Award for Beijing Science& Technology Development, Award for University Science and Education Progress from Ministry of Education. He received the Innovative Contribution Award by World Chinese Urological Society in 2019.
Professor Xing is actively involved in academic societies. He is the deputy head of Endoscopic Diagnosis and Treatment Expert Group of Chinese National Health Commission, Vice Chairman and Secretary-General of Chinese Urological Doctor Association, Chairman of Beijing Urological Cancer Association, Vice Chairman of Beijing Urological Association and Head of Minimally Invasive Expert Group of Urology. He is the co-editor Chinese Journal of Endourology and members of Editorial Board of Chinese Medical Journal, Chinese Journal of Urology and Journal of Clinical Urology.
