Dr. Sajid Sultan, FCPS, FEBU, is the Professor and Head of the Department, Pediatric Urology at S.I.U.T. He is the graduate of Sindh Medical College, Karachi, Pakistan. He trained in Urology and Renal Transplantation at SIUT and then went on to receive further training in Pediatric Urology at the Hospital for Sick Children, Great Ormond Street, London, UK and Sophia Children Hospital, Rotterdam, Netherlands.
Dr. Sultan has been extensively trained by world-renowned Pediatric Urologists especially Mr Philip Ransley. He got trained in laparoscopy at Halle, Germany, Paris, France and Milan, Italy. He also holds a Diploma in Bioethics from Karachi University, Pakistan.
Dr. Sultan has been instrumental in the development of Pediatric Urology department at SIUT, a state-of-the-art and first ever pediatric urology department in Pakistan. He has also contributed in carrying out Pediatric Renal Transplantation at SIUT. He has enormous experience in the management of various aspects of paediatric urolithiasis. His surgical expertise include both complex open and minimally invasive surgery for urolithiasis. He has performed more than one thousand percutaneousnephrolithotomies (PCNL) individually.
Dr. Sultan is a faculty and an examiner of Urology for The College of Physicians and Surgeons, Pakistan. Author of over 20 peer-reviewed publications as well as author of a book chapter on Urolithiasis. He is an Associate Editor of the journal, Frontiers in Pediatric Urology and Journal company member of Journal of Pediatric Urology. He is a reviewer and member of several national and international journals and societies respectively, of Urology, Pediatric Urology and Transplantation.
Dr. Sultan is currently focusing his clinical practice in Laparoscopy, Exstrophy-Epispadias-Complex and Urethroplasty.
