Dr. Muhammad Nasir Sulaiman is a graduate of Dow Medical College from the batch of 1983. After doing his house job in Medicine and Surgery from Civil Hospital Karachi, he proceeded to UK for his postgraduate training. He did his FRCS in General Surgery from Glasgow and Edinburgh in 1988. He then took up Urology as his post FRCS specialty and passed his Diploma in Urology from University College London and Institute of Urology London in 1990. He continued with his specialist training in Urology and passed his FRCS in Urology in 1993. The Intercollegiate Conjoint Board in Urology, which represents the Royal College of Surgeons of London, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Ireland, conducts this examination. He has the distinction of being the first Urologist from Pakistan to have passed this prestigious examination.
Dr. Sulaiman has had the opportunity of working in well-recognized urological departments in UK. He managed to rotate in the different subspecialties of urology, like reconstructive urology, uro-oncology, uro-gynecology, stone disease, andrology, urodynamic unit and general urology. He has developed an interest in these subspecialties and managed to implement them in his practice in Pakistan in the different Institutions that he is involved with. He has a special interest in reconstructive urology, andrology including penile prosthesis and urethral surgery.
Dr. Sulaiman has a number of papers published in national and international journals. He has attended different symposiums workshops and has also conducted them locally. He is actively involved in teaching under and post-graduate students.
