Dr Asad Shahzad Hasan is a Professor of Urology at Sindh Institute of Urology and
Transplantation since July 2014. He had joined the Institute in 1992 as a Medical Officer. He
did his Fellowship in Urology from College of Physician and Surgeon Pakistan in 2001.
Earlier he had clinical attachments at Prince Henry Hospital University of New South Wales Sydney Australia (1996) , Dr. Cipto Mangunkusomo Hospital University of Indonesia Medical School, Jakarta, Indonesia (1997) and Dr. Soetomo General Hospital Airlangga University Medical School Surabaya Indonesia (1997). Dr Hasan is a member of the teaching faculty of the Institute and delivers tutorials to the undergraduate and post-graduate students of Dow Medical College and Civil Hospital, Karachi. He is a member of Pakistan Medical Association (PMA), Pakistan Association of Urological Surgeons (PAUS), Asia Pacific Association of Uro-oncology (APCU), The Transplantation Society (TTS), Middle East Society of Transplantation (MESOT), Transplant Society of Pakistan (TSP), the Goethe Institute, Karachi and The Planetary Society Pasadena, USA. Dr Hasan is actively involved in Renal Transplantation, Uro oncology and Minimally Invasive surgery.
